About the Artist :
Derrick Loke is more of a Self-Taught Artist. He juxtaposes his artwork more on fine art via dimension variables or mixed media. His interpretation of artwork is more attuned to his belief in Christianity. By embracing a strong faith in Jesus Christ, his representation of painting is all about love, compassion, kindness and very Biblical content. Mostly, encompasses with the theme of forgiveness. The feeling of transquilty, peacefulness and serenity naturally evolves when you view his paintings.
In 2018, Derrick's artwork attained First Runner-Up at the Colours of the Bible Competition. It was jointly organised by The Bible Society of Singapore and The Embassy of Israel in Singapore.
